A yellow tower sits as an elementary structure which in form, defined by that of a standard plywood panel (2.4 x 1.2m), punctuates the horizontality of the surrounding landscape, creating an object of intrigue and formal composition.

Internally, a ladder takes one up to the viewing platform where a large aperture opens framed views out to sea, whilst a smaller opening allows views back inland.

Auxilliary spaces on the ground floor provide storage for the lifeguard's personal effects and a larger store provides space for beach furniture such as parasols and loungers. Externally a shower is also accessible for beachgoers.
